I never EVER thought I’d be a dog owner. Cat was always my answer in the dog/cat pet stand off. I grew up with cats. Okay so they’re aloof and a bit grumpy, but over all I think they get a bad rep.
I get it. I feel aloof most of the time too. Cats are relatable. Okay so they only want 4 and a half belly rubs, and any more than that is met with their sword like claws and the most livid expression, but when they love you, they love you. That feels pretty special.
Our cat is called Aubi. He’s 7 years old now. He sleeps all day and chases mice all night. But god I love him. We have been through a lot together and his purrs and head butts are perfect little presents when you’re feeling the wrong side of crap.
Zero was another one of the many impulsive decisions my partner and I have made. (The only way to make decisions if you ask me). Our sister and brother in law we’re getting a French Bulldog called Frankenstein. What an absolute dude. We fell in love with him immediately, and when we heard that there was a little runty girl left in the litter, we just had to have her.
Within a day or so we we’re driving over to pick up out new little fur baby. With no idea what to expect or what we we’re getting ourselves into. (This is how the best adventures start).
We fell in love with her immediately. This eenie weenie little shaking bat pig. She was so vulnerable and tiny. Terrified to be picked up, but she looked into my eyes with a knowing blink. I’d like to think that was the moment she decided we were her humans. Probably just gas though.
She slept on my lap the whole way home, that’s when I knew that I needed her as much as she needed me. Cheesy but true.
That was the start of having a tiny trumpy, snorty little pig. Every day is an adventure with this one. She makes us laugh with her sassy rambunctious personality.
This post was just to say hello. Welcome. We can’t wait to share all that we get up to. I hope this blog finds you well.
Little pig and me.
